Herbaceous native perennial that's attractive to birds. Perfect for water gardens, boggy areas or pond edges. Arrow shaped green leaves. Another common name is duck potato (wapato) because of the round tubers that grow beneath the muddy surface. The tubers will float when dug up and are edible! Use as you would with regular potatoes.
