Edibles 3½"
3½” pots, 12 per flat
Is 43 tomatoes too many? Is 34 peppers enough? How about ten kinds of kale? Every variety has somebody who loves them, but they don’t stay on our list unless they perform well for your customers. Trialing edibles gives us much better intel than the hype from a shiny catalog or website. And almost everyone on staff has a veg garden and reports back on what worked and what didn’t from among our selections. I just came in from harvesting some of my lunch from one of the best vegie trial gardens we’ve ever had. Numerous peppers and tomatoes and herbs and greens are going nuts out back.
For 2027, we added an heirloom winter squash beloved by one of the farmers on our team, and a kale from the folks who bred Winterbor and Redbor and Darkibor. Guess the last syllable of its name!
