A traditional Japanese herb with shiny red frilly leaves commonly used to wrap sushi. The beautiful, aromatic, rich leaves with hints of cumin, cilantro, spearmint and cinnamon are wonderful in stir-fries, spring rolls and salads. You can pickle, sauté and use them fresh.
