This plants delicate, fern-like leaves will close when it is touched and slowly re-open, making this a very entertaining plant for people of all ages. Produces light purple pom-pom shaped flowers that bloom later in the summer. A very popular houseplant due to it's easy maintenance and ability to recoil when touched. "Sensitive plant" folds up when touched, or breathed on or walked near or….but beware the stems are prickly. Fun novelty. Native to Brazil.
