Low growing spreader for the front of the dry border recommend by the folks at Plant Select in Colorado, who know a thing or two about xeriscape gardening. Needle-like foliage calls to mind creeping phlox, as will those mounds of purple blooms--except they come on in late summer. Our trial plants were sweetly stunning and everybody wanted some to take home. Easy care, happy in tough dry spots (although it didn't flinch outside in our rainy summer either). Give it a haircut if you prefer a neater look, let it hang over the edge of the wall if you have one..
