Smoky dark purple heart-shaped leaves add a wonderful accent to containers, and look great as single specimens or in mass plantings. Feed them well and they will grow. Give them plenty of water too. They can handle being planted in several inches of water, so promote them as pond plants for that tropical pool feeling right here in the Upper Midwest. Now that's a staycation.
