Cucumber 'Painted Serpent'

Also known as Striped Armenian cucumber or snake melon. The idea is that if you don't trellis these babies, they will twist and curve and coil all about your melon patch. Fruits are slightly fuzzy and adorned in stripes of pale and dark green. Flavor is that of a burpless cuke, with crisp texture. Great in salads, it can also work in lightly cooked dishes and stir fries. Grow as you would melons, so wait until the soil is warm before setting out.
