Lovely large, sharp-toothed silver grey leaves are for larger containers or garden.  Give this plenty of room and sunshine.  If you have the room and patience, leave this dude in the ground overwinter because it'll bloom giant artichoke type blooms in its second year.  The finches will appreciate the thistle like seed heads.  Great choice for boulevard gardens.
