Catnip

  • Category: Herbs
  • Height: 18-24 Inches

Bushy perennial herb with fuzzy heart-shaped leaves, used in teas and a great treat for cats. Very easy to grow as long as your cat will let it get a head start. Doesn't spread like other mints but may be inclined to self sow. Dry some flower clusters to give your kitties fun in the winter. As a tea for humans, it sooths colic and stomach aches and helps promote restful sleep. Recent research suggest rubbing crushed foliage on skin as a mosquito repellent.
